This slightly sloping site oriented to the east is located on the edge of a former gardening area above the castle park in Brno-Medlánky. The family house designed in the spirit of Scandinavian poetics uses the natural inclination of the terrain – it has two floors towards the street and one floor towards the garden. Rooms vary in height and create a certain spatial ”raumplan”. This principle is also reflected in the shape of the roof – partly flat, partly slightly inclined. The interior space is organized around a partly-sheltered atrium with terrace and access to the garden. The disposition of the house is 5 rooms with a kitchen nook and comfortable facilities, with an integrated double garage and a traditional sauna.
