The existing administrative building from the early 1980’s is situated in the administrative-production area in the Brno-Medlánky periphery and it is a seat of a prominent power-producing company. The reconstruction focused mainly on the improvement of energy standards and the modernization of the architectonic expression of the object with as minimal interventions in the interior dispositions as possible. The proposed solution preserves the original volume division – an embedded entrance floor accentuated by dark cladding, and the main four-floor volume in white plaster combined with dark gray fillings. The original strip windows with ceramic parapet panels were replaced with a regular grid of windows with a walled parapet and window piers. The characteristic feature of the house is a dynamically shaped steel canopy above the main entrance.
