This newly-built apartment block is located in the vicinity of the historic centre of the town of Prostějov, on one of the town’s main routes, Olomoucká Street. The house is divided into two blocks on a shared base that accommodates the entrances, parking garage and services. The main volume fills the vacant space in the street front; the smaller part is situated in a quiet courtyard at the end of a blind alley. The signature feature of the simple building with white facade is the color accent with the glass in the staircase hall that creates a colorful mosaic, bringing a fresh spring feel to the interior despite the busy and dusty street outside. The play of colors stretches deep into the building, where composite multi-colored aluminum panels are prominent.
