The construction site is located in the western part of Kuřim, in the middle of a loose development of family houses at the foot of Horka Hill. The three-floor brick cuboid is vertically fixed into a steep slope with a southeast orientation and a beautiful view of the city and its surroundings. The compact mass of the house is cut out on each floor in order to create a form providing suitable conditions regarding operation, lighting and orientation. A garage, storage and technical space are situated in the basement. The social part of the house is situated upstairs – a living space with kitchen – and in the last upper floor there are parents’ and children’s bedrooms and a study room. All living rooms have direct access to the terrace and further to the garden. There is also a reconstructed object of a former cabin on the plot which is used as an occasional accommodation for guests.
