< 1 / 2 >

Blatná, population approximately 6 000, is located in Southwest Bohemia, about 25 km from Písek an 20 km from Strakonice. The city is well-known for its chateau with a large park designed by Benedikt Rejt, the architect of Vladislav Hall at the Prague castle. Blatná is a stabilized, well equipped and well arranged city, the only limits are the rivers and their flood zones. The competition entry is based on small interventions and the reduction of building land, on creating a new recreation park to define the new city boundary and inserting 4 municipal projects to accelerate the development of their surroundings as well as the whole city.
