Blatec, population approximately 600, is located 7 km south of Olomouc on the right bank of Morava River. It consists of three parts: Blatec itself, locality Kocanda along the road to Olomouc and seclusions around Blatecký Mill. Blatec is the typical Haná village with well-preserved farmhouses along a rectangular green, with the block of public amenities in the center. We suggest the residental development east of the historical center and we add missing public facilities (elderly house) and urban greenery. We also propose the development of the agricultural production west of the historical center and we define the border between the built-up area and the landscape. The east part of the village in the flood zone of Morava River is left without building development.
